Roles

Admin roles 

Master administration role (CA owner) has control over users (invite, list, remove) and can see CA total billing information. CA admin can invite new users to CA within projects.

Project admins can also invite new users directly into a specific Project and then user will be added to appropriate CA automatically. 

User roles

Common user of project has to be invited by CA admin within projects. If the user is invited to the specific Project, he will be also added to appropriate customer area automatically. All users are visible on the User List page. 


Reader roles

Default read only user role controlled by admin. He is not able to create new servers. 

Invitation 

Before user can be granted access to particular project and services (Jira and Confluence) he needs to be first invited and his account created.

User can be granted access on a few levels:

  • TDS Project users (Level 2)
  • TDS SaaS Service, Server or Application users (Level 3)
  • TDS CA/Company users (Level 1)

User can be invited to CA/Company sending invitation to user's email.

User can be added to Level 2 only when user is already in Level 1.

User can be added to Level 3 only when user is already available in Level 2.

TDS User Directory (LDAP) is used to keep user's personal data assigned to CA/Company and user's projects.

Additionally there is available list of all TDS users in Admin section.


Adding/Remove users

Page Users shows the list of users connected with this Project. Project owner or admin can add already existing users to a Project using button. If user is not in Customer area than he/she can be invited directly from add user modal window (as described in above). 

Once user is granted access to TDS project and can be found among all project Users.

If you want a new user to have access to all SaaS applications for your project click the option Add to all services when inviting the user.


There are 3 types of users:

  • user - common user of Project
  • admin - main Project administrator
  • billing - activates page Billing

Once user is member of project he can be granted user / administrator access to one or more SaaS application as JIRA, Confluence, Git, etc.

Project admin / owner can add user to particular application using  button available for each application under left menu tab SaaS.

How to add (remove) user to Jira or Confluence

Project owner can edit or remove users by clicking on REMOVE.


Invitation

By pressing  button user can invite another user to TDS CA/Company (Level 1) entering user's email in invitation dialog and pressing button INVITE.

Invitations are valid for a limited time (default is 72 hours). Valid unused invitations can be viewed on the Invitations page.




Sign up

Once User receives to his email an invitation he can perform sign up and create his account.

New user enters:
  • Username (at least 4 alphanumeric characters including signs :-., _)
  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Password (at least 8 characters with at least 1 capital letter and 1 number)

User agreed, that he reads TDS Privacy Statement clicking button Sign me up.


Now he will be able to log in to TDS portal.


 


Login page

User enters his Username and Password in Login Page dialog, which are used for public TDS authentication and authorization.

User Credentials are stored in public TDS LDAP.

There is no password expiration policy in public TDS.

It's not possible to use TDS project Service Account to login to TDS.


User can use Reset (forgotten) password using option:

Reset (forgotten) password: 

User need to enter his email address in "Request password reset" dialog.

When user enters email, which is not included in TDS user directory, the dialog is cleared.

After adding user's valid email and confirming of the dialog, user receives Reset Password confirmation view.

Contact support:

         User can use Contact support using option.

User is forwarded to TDS Service Desk in https://support.etb.tieto.com/

Create new account: 

         User can use Create new account using option.

User is forwarded to TDS request form in https://www.tieto.com/contacts/tds-requests-for-further-information

After filling and submitting the Contact request form, email request is sent to TDS Product Owner.
